Fatha, Kasra, Damma and Sukoon | Kahf Kids

Fatha, Kasra, Damma and Sukoon

Lesson /2 | Study Time: 10 Min

Harakat are the short vowel marks: fatha (a sound), kasra (i sound) and damma (u sound). Sukoon marks the absence of a vowel. A letter with sukoon joins to the vowel before it, which is how words like "min" are read. Reading practice starts with single letters, then three-letter combinations, then full words.
